Foster Golf Links
13500 Interurban Avenue, Tukwila, WA 98168
Foster Golf Links is a wonderful course for the beginner and amateur golfer! The course is not terribly long and offers some fine challenges while still being fair.
The second and seventh holes, both par 3's over water, are particularly enjoyable for the challenge and opportunity for holes in one.
The sixth hole is probably the shortest par four you will ever play due to a large tree that happens to protect the green from all but the most skilled distance flop shot artists.
The course has a relatively new club house that is of the finest quality and the restaurant/bar offers excellent food. Be sure to stop at the turn for a quick hotdog and drink at the pickup window off the 9th green. You will find that even with the stop, the timing of groups from 9 to 10 spreads out even more.
In the spring be sure to watch for Canadian Geese that flock here to raise their young on the fairways. Just watch where you step. Also, the hills that surround the course to the east are perfect for spotting Bald Eagles drifting in the wind.
The type of golfer you will encounter at Foster is friendly and fun. Most days off season you can even get a tee time by yourself if you so choose!
Foster Golf Links comes highly recommended by the Seattle Golf Guide for an enjoyable round on a well kept course that caters to the average golfer. No need for 300 yard bombs here off the tee.
