Sumner Meadows
14802 8th Street E
Sumner, WA 98390
In 1995 John Harbottle III (famed for his work on the Gold Mountain Olympic Course) transformed this former turf farm into a good solid test of golf. Although the property has little elevation change, water hazards come into play on 16 of its 18 holes - keeping even the best golfers honest.
Sumner Meadows' setting is not an aesthetic experience - like a Kayak Point, but for pure playing enjoyment Sumner Meadows has something for everyone. From the course's back-to-back par-3s, that brings two ponds into play, to its 600-yard par-6 on the back 9. Good value, good greens, distinctive holes and lots of water all add up to a good solid golf experience.
